TOK BALI TO TAMAN NEGARA (415 KM)
TAMAN NEGARA TO KUALA LUMPUR (270 KM)
The first stretch leads us out of the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur towards open highways, followed by a climb up towards Cameron Highlands on some of the best curved tarmac the country has on offer. The first day will see us cover some 300 km and gain 5,200 ft. in altitude. The Highlands are famous for their tea plantations, strawberries and nature trails – all of which is on our itinerary!
Meal: Not Included
We leave the Highland after breakfast at our hotel and head from 5,200 ft. to sea level. We have a mix of curvy mountain roads, highways and the crossing of South East Asia’s longest bridge at 24 km in length. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Orient, Penang is famous for its soft sandy beaches and its vibrant nightlife, it is also fondly known as the food capital of Malaysia. Penang is a must see destination while visiting Malaysia.
This is the second longest leg of the journey and one of the best riding road. The road will pass through the forest reserve of Malaysia and if your lucky enough you will see Elephants, Deer, Leopards, and Wild Boars! This road will take us from the west coast to the east coast – which is home to some of the best beaches of the country. We will arrive just in time for a barbeque dinner at the private beach of our resort.
Today is all about relaxing as we take a short ferry ride to the nearby Perhentian Island for a day trip of snorkeling in its crystal clear water. Early dinner at hotel as we have a early start the next day.
This is the longest ride of the tour and so we leave Tok Bali at the break of dawn and ride to the worlds oldest rainforest. We will have lunch at one of the floating restaurants at Taman Negara, following which we will take a speed boat ride upstream through the rapids to go see the aborigines of Malaysia. At night we will go for the night jungle trek into the rainforest and the next day to the canopy walk.
It’s time for the last stretch of tarmac with Nomad Motorcycle Adventures and the ride back from Taman Negara to Kuala Lumpur is a scenic route which has a mix of back roads and highways. As always, all good things come to an end and so it is time to fly back home. But you will carry an experience of a life-time with you. Not many people will have seen the places you visit, let alone from the seat of a motorcycle!
