Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Cochin, a city till today influenced by medieval Portugal, Holland and England. You visit St. Francis Church, built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars where Vasco da Gama was buried for 14 years before his remains were transferred to Lisvon. His tombstone still stands. Amazing are the Chinese fishing nets. These cantilevered fishing nets line the entrance to the harbour mouth. They were introduced by traders from the courts of Kublai Khan. Evening enthrall yourself with a special presentation of the colorfully costumed Kathakali Dance Drama. This mask dance form is originally from Kerala and 1500 years old. This classical dance has 24 mudras expressing the nine emotions of serenity, wonder, kindness, love, valor, fear, contempt, loathing and anger. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel. Later leave for Munnar by road. Munnar is a town located in Kerala state in the southern Western Ghats in South India. The name is often used to refer to the whole tourist area of Idukki District of which the town forms a part. The name of Munnar is believed to be derived from the Malayalam words Munu (three) and aaru (river), referring to the town’s strategic location at the confluence of the Muthirappuzha, Chandavurai and Kundaly rivers. The area is surrounded by vast jungles and remains wet and cold during most of the year. Afternoon visit Tea Museum (Remains closed on Mondays) Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel and check-out. Depart by surface for Periyar. On arrival check-in hotel. The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the best maintained wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India, giving an opportunity of spotting elephants, leopards, tigers and bisons amongst various other species of flora and fauna. On arrival in Periyar check in to your hotel. After noon Boat ride on Lake Periyar (Subject to operational of boats and availability) Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel and check-out. Later leave for Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a tourist village in Kottayam district of Kerala. It is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala. It is a unique experience that will beckon the visitors time and time again as there are several activities for visitors. Overnight at Hotel.
