DAY 1 DELHI
Arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2 DELHI
Spend the day discovering the heritage of Delhi. Morning tour of Old Delhi. Visit the 400-years-old Jama Mosque, the largest in India, followed by a cycle rickshaw ride through the teeming bazaar. Continue to Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon drive through the Lutyens’ Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s Palace and India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honour of Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War –I. Explore the famed Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and culminate the tour at Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site- the tallest brick minaret in the world, at 238 feet (72m).

DAY 3 DELHI – AGRA
Early morning transfer to railway station for your express train to Agra (Shatabdi Express – dep. 0610hrs and arr. 0810hrs)

Arrive in Agra and transfer to your hotel. Later visit the impeccable Taj Mahal * – one of the most perfect architectural monuments in the world (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Return to hotel and check in to your rooms.

Later spend time discovering the imposing Agra Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 4 AGRA – JAIPUR
This morning drive to Jaipur (260 kms/6 hour’s approx). En- route a visit to Emperor Akbar’s capital city – Fatehpur Sikri – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is unmissable.

Arrive in Jaipur and check-in to your hotel. Remainder of the day will be at leisure.

DAY 5 JAIPUR
Morning, enjoy sightseeing tour of Jaipur, the abode of the rajahs. Enjoy an excursion to the magnificent Amber Fort, the ancient citadel of the Kachhawa clan. Ascent the fort riding on a 10 feet Elephant!

In the afternoon visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in the 1700s but still appears futuristic. Also visit the City Palace that houses the Maharaja’s private collection of textiles and armory. Culminate the tour with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal, fondly called the ‘Palace of Winds’.

DAY 6 JAIPUR – SHAHPURA
This morning drive to Shahpura (220 Kms / approx. 4.5 hrs)

Situated between Jaipur and Udaipur, Shahpura Bagh was the summer residence of the rulers of Shahpura and the family is famous for their warmth and hospitality.

Afternoon arrive in Shahpura and check in to your hotel. Later explore the rural life of Shahpura – its rich multi-cultural vibrancy and its fascinating arts and crafts tradition.

DAY 7 SHAHPURA – UDAIPUR
Morning leave for Udaipur (220 kms/ approx 5 hrs).

Set amongst rolling hills speckled with shimmering lakes, Udaipur is considered by many as the most beautiful and the most romantic city in Rajasthan. Founded in 1567 by Maharana Udai Singh, the city is surprisingly quiet and traffic-free. It has the atmosphere of a small town, with winding alleyways and tree-lined streets leading to the impressive City Palace, which overlooks the legendary “floating” Lake Palace.

Remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure.

This evening enjoy cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola (subject to water levels). From the beautifully decorated boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur as it rises majestically above the lake. Also visit the Jag Mandir Palace – another lovely island palace in the middle of the lake. Watch a spectacular sunset over the lake, which will be a fitting finale for the day (subject to weather conditions).

DAY 8 UDAIPUR
Spend the day on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur, starting with the City Palace. The entrance to the City Palace complex is through the ‘Hathi Pol’ (elephant gate) along the main street of the old city, past the Jagdish Temple. The paintings, mosaics, intricately carved ‘Chhatries’ and the architecturally brilliant façade all contribute to making a visit to the City Palace a truly memorable experience.

Continue to Crystal Gallery, it has a rare collection of Osler’s crystal ordered from England by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1877.

Also visit Sahelion-ki-Bari, the garden of the maids of honour that was constructed for forty-eight young ladies in waiting who were sent to the royal house as a part of a lavish dowry.

Remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure.

DAY 9 UDAIPUR – RANAKPUR – MIHIRGARH
This morning drive to Mihirgarh (260Kms / approx.5.5 hours)

Enroute visit the 15th-century Ranakpur Jain temples Over 1444 marble pillars, carved in exquisite detail, support the temple. The pillars are all differently carved and no two pillars are the same.

Continue drive to Mihir Garh The mud fortress is perched on a sand mound on the edge of the desert, blending understated luxury with a rustic and sumptuous earthy elegance.

On arrival, check in to your hotel.

DAY 10 MIHIRGARH – JODHPUR
Early morning enjoy village safari traveling in open jeeps showcases the prevalent Bishnoi tribal culture surrounding Mihir Garh.

Later drive to Jodhpur, which was once the chief settlement in Marwar, the largest princely state in Rajasthan. (50Kms / approx. 1 hour)

On arrival check in to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the spa/ pool.

DAY 11 JODHPUR
Morning visit Mehrangarh Fort – the magnificent Mehrangarh fortress which dominates the town. Continue to Jaswant Thada (close to the fort complex) is the 19th century cenotaph, built in white marble, in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh.

Afternoon at leisure. Alternatively an excursion can be arranged to meet the skilled weavers of Salavas – known for their high quality durries

DAY 12 JODHPUR – DELHI
Morning at leisure. Later transfer to airport for a flight to Delhi.
Jet airways 9W 3312 – 14:05 / 15:35 hours. Assistance on arrival and check in to your hotel where rooms will be available till your final departure.
Late evening a Hi-Tours airport representative will escort you back to Delhi international airport and assist in completing your departure formalities.
