Day 1. Arrive in Beijing

Your Beijing Tour Guide will greet you upon your arrival at Beijing International Airport and then transfer you to your luxury hotel.

 Day 2. Beijing (B)

Today you’ll begin your China sightseeing tour. The first stop is Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. Then head for the magnificent Forbidden City, which stood as the imperial palace for China from the Ming Dynasty until the end of the Qing Dynasty, a period of 500 years. After lunch, see the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site with the largest imperial garden in the world, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty. In the evening, you will enjoying an authentic Peking Duck Banquet and a live presentation of the “Legend of Kung Fu” which has wowed and amazed audiences worldwide.

 Day 3. Beijing (B)

Today you’ll see and perhaps climb the Great Wall of China, one of the country’s most famous tourist attractions and one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. It runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties. You will then have a Seminar on Chinese Jade Culture at a local Jade Museum. Next you will visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven – to see the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to shop and explore at Wangfujing, one of the Chinese capital’s most famous shopping streets.

 Day 4. Beijing / Xian (B)

Today fly to historic Xian, ancient capital of China and site of archaeological treasures. Tour the Ancient City Wall of Xian, one of the world’s oldest, most complete fortified defenses.And your dinner will be the feast of the Imperial Dumpling Banquet, followed by a splendid Tang Dynasty Stage Show.

 Day 5. Xian / Chengdu (B)

According to UNESCO, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the Eighth Wonder of the World. Today’s excursion will take you to modern China’s greatest archaeological discovery – The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China’s First Emperor for over 2,200 years. Next you’ll head to the Terracotta Replication Factory that actually re-made terracotta soldiers. Later you will fly to Chengdu, the home of the Giant Pandas, also known as the “Country of Heaven”.

 Day 6. Chengdu / Chongqing – Yangtze Cruise (B)

Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Center to witness the conservation efforts being made to save this endangered species. The center is the largest giant panda reserve in the world. Whenever China dispatches its animal ambassadors to zoos around the world, they have usually started their life in Chengdu. Afternoon take a High-speed train (2 hours) to the mountain city of Chongqing, and then you’ll embark on the deluxe Cruise ship to begin the majestic Yangtze River cruise adventure.

 Day 7. Cruise on Yangtze (B, L, D)

The Yangtze, the mother river of China, is a favorite tourist attraction. The cruise down the river will show you a China far more beautiful than what you expected. You’ll take an optional shore excursion to the Fengdu Ghost City where the devils live in accordance with Chinese legend. Travelers can see the ancient buildings and various ghosts and experience the haunting atmosphere. In the evening, join the Captain’s Welcome Dinner Party.

 Day 8. Cruise on Yangtze (B, L, D)

Sail through Qutang Gorge, a section that stretches eastward from White King Town to Daxi Town, and is the shortest, most dramatic of the Three Gorges. Wu Gorge is the most elegant and winds over 25 miles from the estuary of to the Guandukou in Badong. Disembark at Wushan where you’ll board a small riverboat for a leisurely ride through Shennong Stream, another tributary of the Yangtze River. You’ll enjoy the crystal clear water, various karst caves, waterfalls and even the suspended coffin in the cliff. Next, sail through the 5-step Ship-lock of the Three Gorges Dam.

 Day 9. Cruise on Yangtze – Yichang / Shanghai (B)

Disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project, the world’s largest water conservancy project, first started in 1994 and completed in 2009. Travelers can access the top of the dam and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the Yangtze River. Then sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Three Gorges before disembarking at Yichang, the terminus of your memorable Yangtze River Cruise. Finally, board a flight to Shanghai, the largest city in China.

 Day 10. Shanghai (B)

Today’s portion of the tour will take you into Shanghai, China’s financial center. Take some time to explore the commercial aspects of Old Town, Nanjing Road, and the Lujiazui Financial Area before checking out the 120,000 art exhibits in the Shanghai Museum. Afternoon visit the Shanghai silk carpet factory where you can doing some shopping. Stroll around the Bund, the waterfront of Shanghai, and alongside the Huang-pu River. A special farewell dinner of Shanghai cuisine will be served after enjoying the world-famous Acrobatic Show.

 Day 11. Shanghai (B)

Today you’ll have a free day for explore this huge city on your own.

 Day 12. Shanghai to Hometown (B)

Today you’ll board a flight to return home. Your amazing China trip ends.
